Studio Exploration — Fine Jewellery Atelier
A design system for a bespoke jewellery atelier: near-black and 22-carat gold palette, Playfair Display editorial voice, and a component library built to recede and let the work speak.
The Brief
A fine jewellery atelier whose reputation far exceeded the coherence of its visual presence. Bespoke commissions were extraordinary; the brand experience surrounding them was not.
What Was Built
A restrained, deeply warm system built around near-black and 22-carat gold tones. Playfair Display in italic carries the editorial voice; a tight Montserrat uppercase handles all interface labelling. Component library includes product cards, commission request flows, and the appointment booking interface — each one designed to recede and let the work take centre stage.
The Result
A complete design system and Figma handoff. The atelier now has a documented visual language that can be applied by any designer — in-house or contracted — without briefing.
